On June 30, 2014, the official EndSummerCamp event website published the conference program for the ESC10 edition, confirming the participation of Francesco “ascii” Ongaro. Ongaro held a talk titled “Hacking Linux VServer with 0day exploits”, in collaboration with Alessandro “jekil” Tanasi. The presentation illustrated the exploitation of a zero-day vulnerability in a Linux paravirtualization environment, using techniques dating back to 1985, demonstrating the effectiveness of historical knowledge in modern security.
